Daily Painting #10 – Lost Between Two Worlds

“Lost Between Two Worlds” — Something a bit different this time, but I had fun playing with it. Practice is the main reason for these speed paintings. But another great reason for them is to get out of my comfort zone, and this illustration definitely did that! I haven’t done much in that genre and I’m not sure I see myself continuing it. However, I really enjoy surreal stuff like this (Dali is amazing). Hope you enjoy!

Daily Painting #9 – New Wings

“New Wings are Growing Tonight” — a process that has just got to hurt! But I’m sure it’s worth the pain, to be able to soar freely through the skies, above the clutter of mankind.

Daily Painting #8 – The Black Mask of Fear

‘The Black Mask of Fear’ – Yes, those are fingers on that masquerade mask, covering her eyes. Mostly. It allows you to peek through, because we all know that no matter how much you want to cover up your eyes completely when you’re afraid, you’re gonna peek through eventually. Hopefully your fears aren’t inches in front of your face, staring back at you, when you do!

I went a bit over the hour on this one, because the mask wasn’t done. But it was integral to the painting, so I had to finish.

Daily Painting #7 – Screaming in Digital

There’s more I wanted to do with ‘Screaming in Digital’, and may go back and make this a full painting out of this one day. Still, I’m happy with this in for an hour!

The full line is “No one can hear when you’re screaming in digital” — from Queensryche – Screaming in Digital

Daily Painting #6 – The Cloud that Hides the Sun

This week’s theme for my daily paintings is: song lyrics. Mind you, it’s just going to be based off a single line in a song (not the whole song), then I’ll take that one line and use it as inspiration for that day’s painting. Or perhaps reinterpret it. Actually, in most cases reinterpret it, because I’ll only be using that single lyric as my inspiration. “The Cloud that Hides the Sun” lyric is from Breaking Benjamin – Defeated

Also, I’m really enjoying this daily painting thing!
